Velvet Mafia ringmaster Dean Johnson is the centerpiece of this 13-song glam rock extravaganza. His Fred Sneider (B-52's) delivery can be tiresome but the band's infectious drum beats and bass lines keep you listening. The self-pitying strains of "Poppies in Springtime" (no love, no friends/ living with a loneliness that never ends) temper fun rockers like "Season of the Bitch" and "Mona Lisa."

"We Know Where You Live" is about drama, hot boys and Lady Bunny. With the rock oomph of Living Colour and a lyrical playfulness all their own, the Velvet Mafia are strong contenders for greater popularity.
