It's rather hard not to like the deep, sly stream of consciousness vocals over the walking bassline and perpetual beat in 'Pack Of Winstons'. The video makes me happy solely because it's New York City, but I like watching it with the song. Don't get too dressed up for the video, though.. heh.
'All That Remains' is the other song that I really like. Some metal percussion, churning guitar and more of his low end spoken vocals. Some of the songs are too much into the guitars, drum and bass music, without much of the vocals or form that the first two used, though still not a typical rock band or anything close.
'Cockney' comes in, with what could work as a trip hop song, with a funky ass bassline and falsetto vocals. Then there's 'Kryou Bushinka'. Who knows? But I love it. A song I'll want to put on before going out bowling to get me all riled up. It lies somewhere between Bauhaus' 'Telegram Sam', Dead Kennedys' 'Holiday In Cambodia', and The Vapors' 'Turnin' Japanese'. Again, I say, who knows?
'Damaged Dreams' really made me want to listen to Itch 'Dyin' To Be Jesus'. I don't know why. I don't know how much I like Green & Checkers but I know I'll be putting on 'Pack Of Winstons', 'All That Remains' and 'Kryou Bushinka' more often than any other band with this many motorcycles in their CD booklet.
