NEW YORK -- In celebration of the ever-increasing clout and rise to power of queer artists in the rock arena, Indie Queer Record label Trip Records and CBGB's presents "Loud & Proud", a showcase of gay and lesbian artists. Headlined by Grant Hart, formerly of Husker Du, the concert will be the most significant rock event of the 1996 New York City Gay Pride celebration.

As well as Grant Hart, "Loud & Proud" will feature many rising queer acts from the local music scene: The Velvet Mafia, Felonious Punk, The Maul Girls, Sacred Addiction and Christian Johnson.

Produced by Trip Records and Dean Johnson of Rock & Roll Fag Bar, "Loud & Proud" commences Saturday June 29th, the evening before the annual Gay Pride parade. The show begins at 9 pm at CBGB's, 315 Bowery (at Bleecker St.).
