Boffo Santana-Jones
Bangor, ME
Spawned from the twisted and eerie backwoods of Maine's forested entrails, the cynical industrialist Boffo Santana-Jones' musical education and inspiration was expunged from the racket of passing locomotives... his only contact with the outside world.
His musical stylings can also be heard on Trip's Compilation "This Way Out", on his 12" EP "Give Me More", and in a forthcoming solo album. Aside from creating music, Boffo is also known as a producer extraordinaire.

"Dementia"
Issue 1

Christian Johnson
New York, NY
Throttling the foibles and phantoms of everyday life, first analyzing, then dissecting, then slashing... a rock/pop fist clenching a razor-sharp lyrical edge. "Dementia" takes us on a little Trip through the soft underbelly of human disintegration which increasingly surrounds us.
Listen for tracks from his 1996 Trip Records debut album "King Baby" on MTV's "Dennis Rodman's World Tour" Home Video as well as on Trip's Compilation "This Way Out".

"You Messed It Up"
Issue 2

davidmahr
San Francisco, CA
Angst has been attempted by so many, yet most have fallen violently beneath the ripping blades of the pop-culture threshing machine. Somehow davidmahr rejects the idea that sweet soulful tunes and honest words cannot be accomplished, striding gallantly ahead in the battle to keep hopeful melodies, angst- ridden lyrics and danceable, bouncy music alive.
Solo Projects include the albums "Solitude" and his forthcoming "No Drama!"

Denise
New York, NY
There are two important things in this world: a good story and... tits!
The artist/painter known as Denise has long been known by friends and children everywhere to be one of those few and far between souls known as a grand story teller. Her musings have been known to shed light on otherwise unthought of and ignored ministrations.

Eric Mars

Serving up spurious musings from a Martian perspective, Eric Mars brings us enlightened insight into the ins and outs of body-sculpting and one of its insidious side-effects: homo love. Listen and learn, fellow fags.

Pardon me, but your house is on fire.

Klamath Falls, OR & Klett, Norway
Adorably sweet despite their spinning heads and razor-sharp pigtails, Marcie Duz... Donna! has charmed all those who have fallen in their path. Donna likes to play in the sandbox with her G.I. Joe's. Marcie likes to play with Donna.
If they don't scare you then you must already be dead.

Mark and his Lecher Boy Chorale
Heavenly Bliss
Since his spiritually sexual awakening during a vision involving jesus and a sharpened cross as a small child, Mark has dedicated his life to "spreading God's 'true' love throughout the world."
For Hymn #465, he joined his voice with the sweetly haunting tones of his renowned Lecher Boy Chorale, who also appear with him on his Spiritual Compilation "Hymns to a Holy Lover".

"Charlie Off the Wall"
Issue 1

Pre Cum
New York, NY
Taking inspiration from such diverse callings as Ska Punk, Italian lyric opera, and deco-era lounge music, Pre Cum brings us this wonderfully deranged and sarcastic quickie. I'm sure these boys speak for us all when they ask the question, "Won't you take that picture of Charlie off the wall?"

R Weis
New York, NY
Working in poetry and manipulated sound since 1984, R. Weis' work has been heard at many New York City venues. Music from his cd "Mystery of the Egg" has been played on experimental radio programs around the U.S., and the complete sound score "Requiem for a Paperweight" has been presented in museum and gallery installations throughout the country with photographs by Arthur Tress.

"Asexual"
Issue 1

Racket Club
Minneapolis, MN
This boisterous boy-band bailing banged-up belligerence pops up occasionally on compilations, such as "Control-Alt-Delete" and "CatScan", and continues to act as resident bilge-pump to his home town of Minneapolis. His contribution to Sibilance is yet another example of his "I think it would be kinda funny" work born out of driven computer programming and a virgo-like fixation on big nasty noises.

"Tuba Mirum"
Issue 1

Strapfkernerator
Trondheim, Norway
The compositional team of Aksel Hagen Tjora & Øivind Klungseth Zahlsen brings us a melding of Markovian Analysis and Social Constructivism, with an aim to amalgamate art and science. Their hauntingly shimmering "Strapfkernerators Requiem" is currently in production from Trip Records. The broader work incorporates symphonic ensemble, singers, electric band and electronic effects in a tribute to the victims of human rights abuses around the world.

Subconscious Can Can Cult
Salt Lake City, UT & Sapporo, Japan
The subconscious mind is amusing. Let it run amok.
Let it make lots of mistakes. That is reality.

For many years, this enigmatic and oft-misunderstood group has lain silently behind obscure scrims of shadow and insanity. With musical detours ranging from art installations and video projects to uniquely entrapping sounds created on the most "primitive" of instruments, they manipulate and expand the realms of experimental music. With their inclusion in Sibilance they have, for the first time, allowed their works to be heard on a more public scale.
The Cult's debut album "FUN" is in production now from Trip Records.
